Role Description

Are you a dynamic Creative Services Project Manager who thrives on bringing bold ideas to life? We're seeking an exceptional, well-rounded Creative Project Manager to join our innovative team and lead game-changing projects from concept to completion.

The Creative Services Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA, responsible for overseeing video and creative projects from initial brief through final delivery. This role manages client relationships and coordinates project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring that creative assets meet client objectives, brand standards, and production deadlines.

Day-to-day tasks include managing client goals, project schedules, facilitating communication between clients and internal teams, preparing project documentation, presenting project lifecycle documents to clients, and monitoring progress to keep work on track and within scope.

The Creative Services Project Manager will collaborate closely with other project managers, creative directors, videographers, designers, editors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, manage risks, and support high-quality creative output.

This position also involves contributing to process improvements, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the continuous enhancement of client experience and business operations of 522.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Creative Services experience, with an ability to support and translate creative concepts into executable project plans.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, task prioritization, and risk management across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting and cost management skills to estimate, track, and reconcile project expenses in alignment with client and internal expectations.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and vendors, and to document requirements clearly.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of multimedia content processes, timelines, and best practices, especially as they relate to integrated campaigns and visual assets like website content, social media, podcasts, video content, etc.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in video or media production environments, proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday, SharePoint, Asana, Trello, or similar), and strong organizational abilities.A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Communications, Marketing, Media Production, or Business) or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting while maintaining attention to detail and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external customers to gather requirements for upcoming and ongoing projects
• Collaborate with production teammates, including animators, videographers, graphic designers, audio engineers, web developers, and other producers, to incorporate multimedia elements into video products
• Create and adhere to customer-facing production schedules
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Coordinate logistics for field and studio productions
• Produce concurrent multimedia products with asynchronous timelines
• Work with operational staff to manage and prioritize competing deadlines and tasks across a portfolio of projects active at once Review project deliverables, providing quality assurance in line with project scope and objectives.
• Quickly identify and escalate issues, dependencies or risks to team goals or project timelines.
• Track hours, expenses, and overall budget utilization on a project basis using Project Management software.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage third parties to meet project requirements.
• Special Considerations
• Must be able to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed on a per-project basis.
• We understand that filming requires odd hours and call times could range from 6:00a to as late as 8:00p.
• Experience working with government agencies as well as the private sector is a plus.
• This position will sometimes require 40+ hour work weeks.
• This is not an overtime-eligible position.
