FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST.

Duties

• You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers.
• You will perform analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
• You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
• You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
• You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organizations programs and activities.

• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines.
• Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
• You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
• Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

• GS-11:
• Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing automated financial management systems to formulate budget estimates and report obligations and expenditures; analyzing transactional data for identification of trends; and developing recommendations for improved financial controls or budgetary processes.GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with budget execution in accordance with policies and practices to support plans, programs, or activities; reviewing or evaluating budget requests, or control for reporting obligations and expenditures to management; and assisting higher-graded analysts in performing studies to evaluate changes in program plans, funding or budgetary relationships.
