Business Development Manager

• We are partnering with an ambitious international food business to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager who can open doors, win new customers and turn commercial opportunities into profitable, long-term growth.

This is a genuine business development role with real ownership.

You will build a targeted pipeline across the UK and Europe, develop relationships with major retailers, foodservice businesses and distributors, and lead opportunities from the first conversation through product development, commercial negotiation and successful launch.

The business creates innovative, added-value food products for some of the biggest names in retail and foodservice. With international manufacturing capability, a flexible approach to product development and significant growth ambitions, this is an opportunity to play a central role in the next stage of its commercial journey.

The role will include

• Winning new retail and foodservice customers across the UK and Europe
• Identifying new categories, channels and market opportunities
• Leading tenders, proposals, pricing and commercial negotiations
• Developing selected existing accounts and identifying further growth opportunities
• Translating customer ideas into clear and commercially viable product briefs
• Managing projects from concept and sampling through to approval and launch
• Working closely with Product Development, Technical, Supply Chain, Finance and international manufacturing teams
• Taking ownership of revenue, margin, forecasting and pipeline reportingWe are looking for someone with a strong track record in food industry sales or business development, ideally gained within private-label manufacturing.

You will need to understand complex product development, commercial pricing and margin management, while also having the energy and determination to create new opportunities.

Experience within added-value frozen or chilled food would be particularly relevant, alongside established relationships across grocery retail, foodservice or distribution.

This role will suit someone who is commercially sharp, highly organised and comfortable working within a fast-moving international business where initiative and accountability are genuinely valued.
