About N4 StudioN4 is Webflow's number one global agency partner. We build and run websites for a living, from full start-to-finish builds through to N4+, our ongoing managed retainer model, for a client list that's mostly large US corporates, alongside AU/NZ and UK Accounts.
We're a team of circa 70, spread across Auckland, Australia, the UK, Serbia, Poland and the US. There's no single hub, no single time zone that runs the show, we're global by default, and we move fast because of it, not despite it. We're looking for the right people to come with us on our growth journey.
Role purpose
- This is a brand new role for N4, and a genuinely strategic one.
- As we grow, we want to level up how we show up to shape our people's experiences; building our talent pipeline, shaping how it feels to work at N4, and keeping a genuinely global, keeping people spread across the globe working as one team.
- That means two things sit side by side in this role.
- One is the practical engine room: full-cycle recruitment, employment documentation, and the everyday mechanics of a workforce that spans full-time employees, part-time contractors and fixed-cost contractors across several countries.
- The other matters just as much: actively driving culture, connection and engagement across a team that rarely sits in the same room, or even the same time zone, and being a genuine thought partner to the Managing Director on how we grow our people alongside the business.
- This isn't a standard HR role, and we don't want it to feel like one.
- Compliance and process are table stakes; the real job is making sure the experience of building a career at N4 matches how ambitious the business already is, wherever in the world you're logging on from.
- What you'll own
- Talent acquisition
- You'll run recruitment end to end across multiple regions: writing and placing job ads, sourcing and headhunting directly rather than waiting on inbound applicants, and managing candidates through to offer.
- Department leads support you with interviews and final selection for their own teams, but building and running the pipeline is yours.
- You'll be constantly researching and testing new ways to find great people, including scoping out new regions and talent pools as N4 grows into them.
- This isn't just filling roles as they open; it's building a pipeline and a network that gets stronger over time, one that's genuinely yours to keep and draw on. Culture & global connection
- This is the part of the role that goes beyond process.
- You'll drive the initiatives, rituals and communication that keep a team spread across regions genuinely connected: culture programs, recognition, internal comms, and ways of working that don't assume everyone's online at the same time.
- You'll run employee lifecycle surveys and engagement checks, but more importantly you'll act on what they tell you, and be the person constantly asking how connected our people actually feel.
- Employee lifecycle & operations
- From onboarding through to off-boarding, you own the mechanics that make employment at N4 feel seamless, no matter which country or contract type someone's on: employment documentation and contracts, including EOR via Deel, probation and performance processes, and the policies that keep our frameworks up-to-date as the business grows.
- People partnering & Business Support
- You'll be a sounding board and advisor to department leads and the Managing Director on the people side of running the business: performance conversations, team dynamics, structuring roles as teams grow, and coaching leads.
- You're not just executing what's asked of you here, you're bringing a people-lens, foresight, and the right tools to shape how leaders make decisions.
- Who we're looking for
- We're open to two different kinds of candidates for this role.
- Either an experienced P&C or HR professional who thrives working autonomously, and can take full ownership of building this function out for a global team from day one.
- Or a senior recruiter who's spent their career filling roles, but has had exposure to broader people initiatives and is genuinely hungry to step into owning them, with hands-on support and mentorship along the way.
- Either way, this is a genuine opportunity to run a people function as your own.
- You love connecting the dots across a fast-moving, global team, and you're energised by the challenge that comes with it. You'll likely have
- Experience in a fast-moving environment; i.e. agency, SaaS, Start-ups, or tech, where you've not just grown a team, but shaped the initiatives that grew alongside it
- Experience running full-cycle recruitment, including direct sourcing and headhunting, not just managing an agency
- A background in HR or people & culture generalist work: employee lifecycle, documentation, engagement
- Comfort working across different employment types (employees, contractors, EOR arrangements) and jurisdictions
- Hands-on experience with EOR platforms, ideally Deel, for managing international contractors and employees
- A strength in staying across a lot of moving pieces at once and spotting gaps before they surface
- The ability to work autonomously and bring structure to a function that's starting from scratch
- Comfortable using AI tools to support and enhance how you work day to day
- That includes keeping the Managing Director informed on hiring pipeline, headcount, retention and engagement, and being the person who spots where the people side of the business needs investment next, ahead of the curve.
