Technical Business Analyst

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Innovation and Digital team and help deliver key technology and integration initiatives.

About The Role

At present we have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst to join us to play a key role in delivering integration and technology solutions that support better experiences for our Members and employees.

Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers and delivery teams, you'll translate business needs into practical technical solutions and help ensure successful outcomes across a complex programme environment. This role is a 12-month fixed-term position and can be based in our Auckland or Wellington Office.

You'll be involved in analysing requirements, documenting end-to-end integration processes, defining API and data requirements, supporting testing activities, and helping delivery teams turn ideas into reality.

What You'll Be Doing

Gathering, analysing and documenting business and technical requirements.

Defining integration and data mapping requirements across multiple systems.

Working with APIs, service contracts and technical specifications.

Using SQL to analyse, validate and reconcile data.

Facilitating workshops and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Supporting delivery, testing and implementation activities across programme workstreams.

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical analysis with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be comfortable working in complex environments, able to simplify technical concepts, and focused on delivering practical business outcomes.

Ideally You'll BringProven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in integration-focused environments.

Strong SQL and data analysis capability.

Experience working with APIs and system-to-system integrations.

Knowledge of data mapping and technical documentation.

The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.A proactive approach to identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
