The Opportunity

As the Key Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of strategic retail partnerships, serving as the primary relationship owner between the brand and key customers. You will manage everything from account strategy and promotional planning to new item launches, forecasting, and retail execution.

This role offers high visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a rapidly growing CPG organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with major grocery retailers and online commerce partners
• Act as the primary point of contact for buyers, category managers, and retail stakeholders
• Develop and execute joint business plans, promotional strategies, and account growth initiatives
• Lead new product sell-in presentations and secure expanded distribution opportunities
• Manage promotional calendars, trade spend budgets, and performance tracking
• Analyze sales trends, retailer data, and syndicated insights to identify growth opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful execution
• Forecast demand and communicate account-level projections to internal stakeholders
• Monitor competitive activity, category trends, and retail performance metrics
• Represent the brand at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
• Ideal Background5+ years of CPG sales experience managing grocery and/or e-commerce retail accounts
• Experience working with major conventional grocery retailers and/or online marketplaces
• Existing buyer relationships within grocery retail strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of the natural, better-for-you, or emerging food & beverage category
• Experience managing trade spend, promotions, and joint business planning
• Comfortable analyzing retail data, POS reporting, and syndicated insights (SPINS, Nielsen, Circana/IRI, retailer portals)
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced growth environment
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Ability to travel approximately 25–40%
