Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Gainesville, GA. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling bank and credit card accounts.

Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, preparing financial statements and management reports, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The role will also involve monitoring project costs, tracking expenses for construction and real estate activities, and ensuring accurate documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.

The Accountant will collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business and project performance.
• Strong skills with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data, documentation, and compliance-related tasks.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project teams, vendors, and leadership.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA or progress toward certification) are a plus.
• Experience in construction, real estate, or related industries is preferred but not required.
