HAAS Alert
Product Manager, Safety CloudAbout HAAS AlertHAAS Alert operates Safety Cloud®, the largest connected transportation + road safety platform in the world. We send real-time digital alerts to drivers and vehicles through their integrated screens and phones as they approach active first responder vehicles, emergency scenes, work zones, and other hazards on the road.
Working with emergency responders, fleets, road operators, and automakers, our vision is singular and urgent: a connected, collision-free world where everyone gets home safely. Every product decision we make is measured against that vision.
Product Management at HAAS Alert is at the center of everything we do and if you’re looking for a mission oriented company with a social good responsibility through networked applications, this is your role.
Safety Cloud turns an emergency vehicle’s lights and siren into a life-saving digital alert delivered in milliseconds across our network. As Product Manager, you define the systems that make that happen. This is mission-critical work, and success means lives saved and tragedies averted.
This is a hands-on, in-the-room role for someone eager for a technical product role. You will work side by side with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and company leadership every day, digging into architecture trade-offs, prioritization calls, and release decisions as they happen.
We are looking for a PM who stays in the details, builds trust across teams, and keeps engineering, go-to-market teams, and our customers aligned around a shared, measurable definition of done.
You also spend time in the field, riding along and deploying with first responders, roadway crews, and other customers to see how alerts behave in real roadway conditions. That grounding matters. But it is a bounded part of the job, not the center of it. The daily work of moving product forward with engineering and stakeholders comes first.
Above all, we are hiring for curiosity, the ability to work with people, and a decision-maker. The best PM for this role is relentlessly inquisitive about how Safety Cloud works end-to-end, how our customers use our products, and what our partners and engineers really need.
Curiosity above all. You ask the next question instead of assuming the answer. You want to understand how the system, the responder, and the partner actually behave, not how the spec says they should.
Empathy for users. Usability and experience for our agencies is critical, someone who think thoroughly about what customers will go through with a product from every step in the experience.A hands-on operator, not a strategy-layer PM. You dig into specs, architecture trade-offs, and prioritization yourself, and you stay close to the work through delivery.
This role rewards people who roll up their sleeves and pushes away people who do not.
Comfortable reading basic code, understanding APIs - you don't need to be a software engineer, but you aren't afraid of the terminal or browser developer tools.
Proven ability to build trust and keep people aligned. You move work forward across engineering, design, GTM, and customer agencies through collaboration rather than authority, and you make sure decisions actually stick.
Hands-on AI Tool Fluency: Demonstrated experience using AI generation and coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, v0, Replit Agent) to build functional software or interactive MVPs.4+ years in product management, with at least 2 years owning API-first or platform products. You can read an API spec, reason about rate limits and payload design, and negotiate integration contracts with partners.
Real-time or low-latency systems experience (streaming data, event pipelines, messaging), with the instinct to reason about uptime, failure modes, and graceful degradation.
Comfort building and refining data-dense dashboards, ideally for operational or monitoring use cases where clarity under pressure matters.
Fluency working directly with engineering on architecture trade-offs. You do not hand off specs and walk away.
Direct experience building for first responders, public safety, mission-critical field operations, GovTech, or regulated and enterprise environments, or a credible, demonstrated path into it.
Willingness to spend periodic time in the field: ride-alongs, agency visits, and time with public safety leaders. You will balance the time out-of-office to have an ear on the market while making sure you are always available for your internal teams reliant on you for discussion and direction.
Bonus: Familiarity with connected vehicle / V2X, telematics, CAD systems, OEM integrations, or public-sector procurement.
