Aviation Product Manager (Aftermarket Parts Trading) – Expendables/Consumables Group

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager – Expendables & Consumables to lead the company's aftermarket parts - commercial strategy, inventory management and profitability of a growing product portfolio within our aviation aftermarket business.

In this commercial leadership role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing aviation aftermarket inventory performance, develop strategic supplier and customer relationships, and identify new product and distribution opportunities.

You will lead a commercial team of 4, whilst working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and Executive Leadership to maximize profitability while ensuring AeroDirect continues to deliver exceptional service to customers across the global aviation market.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Product Strategy

• Develop and execute commercial strategies for the Expendables & Consumables product line.
• Monitor market trends, pricing movements, repair developments, and competitive activity.
• Establish product pricing strategies and margin objectives.
• Identify and develop new product opportunities, distribution partnerships, and revenue streams.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Manage inventory investments to optimize stock turns and profitability.
• Ensure inventory levels align with customer demand and market requirements.
• Identify and address inventory risks including obsolescence, BER material, and surplus stock.
• Work closely with trading and procurement teams to support strategic acquisitions and disposals.

Sales & Customer Development

• Drive revenue growth through effective inventory sales and strategic account management.
• Support and mentor commercial teams in developing new customer and vendor relationships.
• Increase RFQ activity and transaction volume across targeted markets.
• Manage selected strategic customer accounts and key partnerships.

Program & Business Management

• Oversee commercial programs and customer transactions from quotation through execution.
• Develop annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance targets.
• Participate in management reviews and strategic planning initiatives.
• Support business growth initiatives including acquisitions, partnerships, and new product launches.

Who we are looking for

• Extensive experience within the aviation aftermarket, aircraft parts trading, distribution, leasing, MRO, or aviation supply chain sectors.
• Strong knowledge of aviation expendables, consumables, and inventory management principles.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing profitable product portfolios.
• Commercially minded with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical, forecasting, and business planning capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience managing strategic customer and supplier relationships within the aviation industry.
