Junior Data Analyst

Requirements

We're seeking an ambitious junior data analyst to join our team. The team delivers world class sports science and data analysis services to a roster of world-famous teams. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working with a unique human performance data set sourced from the world's top elite sports teams.

• Your objective will be to support the consulting, product and engineering team through dashboard building, data integration and targeted analysis
• You will be called upon to help on specific client projects, to include delivering new features based on robust statistical and data science techniques
• You could also be working day to day with clients to help manage their current product stack and support their continued development
• Maintain, optimize and extend our existing analytics infrastructure
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses on long-term data for trends on athlete progress and physical performance

You should have

• Experience with building customized reports with Power BI or comparable BI tool
• Experience with SQL queries and relational databases
• Strong understanding of statistics

• Experience working with large quantities of data using Python or R
• Comfort when presenting, defending and discussing ideas and concepts both internally and externally
• Fluent in English
• A strong work ethic
• A passion for sport

Great if you have

• Working experience in professional sport
• Have a degree in data science, mathematics, a related field
• The ability to operate without close oversight
• Client facing/management experience
