Join a team transforming the future of Novated Leasing. We're looking for a commercially minded Product Owner who can identify customer opportunities, shape product direction and work with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business and customer outcomes.

This role sits within our Novated Leasing Product team, where you'll partner with Engineering, Design, Operations and business stakeholders to solve meaningful customer problems, improve digital experiences and drive growth across one of Australia's leading salary packaging and novated leasing businesses.

You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, lead discovery, prioritise investment decisions and deliver products that create value for customers, partners and the business. As Smartgroup continues investing in its digital future, you'll play a key role in shaping the next generation of customer and dealer experiences.

What you'll be doing

Own product outcomes, balancing customer value, commercial opportunity and strategic priorities. Lead discovery and experimentation to identify, validate and deliver solutions to meaningful customer problems. Define and evolve product roadmaps informed by customer insights, data and business objectives. Partner with Engineering, Design and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact digital experiences.

Prioritise opportunities, manage the backlog and make trade-off decisions based on value and impact. Measure product performance and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years' experience in Product Management, Product Ownership or a similar product leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience making prioritisation decisions using customer, business and data insights.
• Demonstrated ability to lead product discovery and translate customer problems into valuable solutions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience working within Agile product teams and modern delivery environments.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting data to support decision-making.
• Ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and execution levels.
• Nice to have:
• Experience in Financial Services, Automotive, Fleet, Salary Packaging or Novated Leasing.
• Exposure to product discovery frameworks, Design Thinking, Lean UX or customer-centred design practices.
• Experience defining and measuring product outcomes and success metrics.
