THE PURPOSE

The IT Project Manager – Digital is a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for delivering high-impact initiatives across ecommerce, digital marketing, and customer experience platforms.

This role partners closely with Ecommerce, Marketing, Product, and IT to drive the successful delivery of customer-facing capabilities that improve conversion, engagement, and revenue. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, balancing speed, quality, and business value.

THE ROLE (What You Are Accountable For)

• Lead end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives across ecommerce, marketing technology (MarTech), and customer experience platforms
• Partner with Ecommerce, Marketing, Product, and IT stakeholders to define business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and deliver scalable solutions
• Manage initiatives such as site enhancements, checkout optimization, personalization, integrations, and marketing platform implementations
• Own project plans, timelines, budgets, and delivery outcomes with a strong focus on business impact (conversion, revenue, customer engagement)
• Drive cross-functional alignment across internal teams and external vendors (e.g., agencies, platform partners)
• Establish and maintain clear roadmaps, priorities, and delivery milestones aligned to digital and ecommerce strategy
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes to ensure predictable delivery
• Lead Agile ceremonies (as applicable) and ensure effective execution across sprints and releases
• Coordinate UAT, release planning, and post-launch support for digital initiatives
• Track and communicate project status, risks, and value to stakeholders and executive leadership in a concise, business-focused manner
• Continuously improve delivery processes to increase speed-to-market and quality of execution
• Remove blockers and enable teams to operate efficiently across business and technical domains

YOU ARE

• A digital-first project manager who understands ecommerce, marketing, and customer journeys—not just IT delivery
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels
• Strong communicator who can translate between business and technical teams
• Data-driven, with a focus on outcomes (conversion, revenue, engagement), not just outputs
• Highly organized with strong prioritization and time management skills
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to navigate ambiguity
• Collaborative, with the ability to influence without direct authority
• Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager delivering digital, ecommerce, or customer-facing platforms
• Proven experience managing cross-functional initiatives across ecommerce, marketing, and IT teams
• Experience delivering projects involving platform integrations, vendor solutions, and system enhancements
• Strong experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in retail, apparel, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environments
• Experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento)
• Experience with digital marketing technologies (e.g., ESPs, personalization tools, CDPs, analytics platforms)
• Familiarity with A/B testing, conversion optimization, and personalization strategies
• Experience supporting or implementing mobile applications and omnichannel experiences
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies (Scrum Master experience is a plus)
• Experience with UAT planning, test case development, and release management
