Job Description

We are seeking a Core Java - Intermediate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Apache Spark and a proven ability to design, develop, and optimize data engineering applications that process large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Apache Spark and Java.
• Work across the Spark ecosystem including Datasets, Spark SQL, and scalability support.
• Collaborate with business analysts and lead engineers to translate requirements and designs into software solutions.
• Execute performance improvements to support Spark applications processing millions of records daily.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting to resolve issues in Spark applications.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.
• Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in the data engineering domain.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with experience in application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Apache Spark, including development, debugging, and maintenance.
• Strong SQL skills for database querying and data manipulation.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile practices.
• AWS experience supporting data workloads.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud and container technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Python for ETL or automation.
