About the Opportunity

We are hiring for our client, a fast-growing, early-stage technology company operating at the intersection of AI, proprietary data, and startup services.

The company partners with founders and businesses during complex transition periods, helping them navigate operational wind-downs while identifying opportunities to unlock value from existing data and intellectual property.

We are looking for an Account Executive who can combine strong commercial instincts with a highly consultative and empathetic approach. You will own qualified opportunities from the first conversation through signed close, while also building your own pipeline alongside inbound referral opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Own client opportunities end-to-end, from initial conversation through negotiation and close.
• Build your own pipeline in addition to working qualified inbound and referral opportunities.
• Develop trusted relationships with founders, executives, investors, lawyers, CFOs, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct highly consultative conversations with founders navigating sensitive business situations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, including data pricing and related deal terms.
• Evaluate opportunities carefully and recognize when a potential deal is not the right fit.
• Continuously improve and refine the existing sales playbook.
• Develop expertise around business wind-downs, data licensing, and related commercial structures.
• Work closely with the founder and a small, highly accountable commercial team.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of client-facing experience in areas such as:
• Enterprise or B2B sales
• Business development
• Partnerships
• Management consulting
• Investment banking
• Data-related commercial roles
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding measurable revenue, quota, or deal targets.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly understand complex commercial, legal, privacy, and compliance topics.
• Strong hunter mentality with proven willingness to build and close self-generated pipeline.
• Comfortable working in a high-accountability, early-stage environment.
• Able and willing to work in person, 5 days per week in Dumbo, New York City.

Preferred Experience

• Data licensing, data sourcing, or selling data-related solutions.
• Experience within an AI company, data business, management consulting firm, or investment bank.
• Exposure to legal, privacy, compliance, or complex contract negotiations.
• Experience building or improving an early-stage sales playbook.
• Experience working directly with founders or senior executives.

Compensation & Benefits

• $150,000 base salary
