Business Readiness Project Manager

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a remote Business Readiness Project Manager. In this position you will be the Retirement Insurance System Enhancement (RISE) Agency Outreach Project Manager.

Major duties

Agency/Employer Outreach

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan for Agency/Employer Outreach activities, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams and RISE solution vendor to align outreach efforts with system implementation phases.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and external employers/agencies, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
• Design and execute a Communication Plan to educate agencies/employers on upcoming changes, technical specifications, and timelines.
• Establish and manage an Employer Advisory Group to gather feedback and guide outreach strategies.
• Oversee development and delivery of training materials and sessions to ensure employers understand new reporting processes and system functionality.
• Manage coordinated testing processes, including test interfaces and issue resolution.
• Track progress of employer certification for compliance with new file layouts and system requirements.
• Identify potential risks related to employer/agency readiness and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and resolve issues promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.

Business Procedures and Training

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan for Business Procedure and Training activities, including timelines,
• milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams and RISE solution vendor to align efforts with system implementation phases.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and solution vendor on training efforts.
• Oversee development and delivery of training materials and sessions to ensure organization staff understand new business
• procedures.
• Manage training efforts between solution vendor and organization and internal efforts within the organization.
• Identify potential risks related to organization readiness and develop mitigation strategies

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 20+ years of project management experience
• 10+ years of pension industry experience
• 2+ years of employer outreach experience

Preferred

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• 1+ years of project management experience leading testing and training

• Rate: $119.00/hour
• W2 Contract
• Worksite Location: Remote or Hybrid in Austin, Tx 78701
• Remote or Hybrid
• 6 month contract with opportunity for extension
