About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for senior finance professionals interested in working directly with a leading AI lab to improve how frontier AI models reason about real-world financial work.

The role involves applying deep finance expertise to review financial knowledge work, develop instruction specifications, create golden solutions, and build high-quality evaluation benchmarks that improve next-generation AI systems.

Ideal Candidates

• 5+ years of professional experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, asset management, corporate finance, accounting, or related finance fields.
• Senior-level experience with ownership of financial analysis, investment decisions, or strategic initiatives.
• Strong expertise in at least one core finance discipline such as M&A, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, FP&A, asset management, or accounting.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) and/or professional credentials such as CFA, CPA, or FRM preferred.
• Experience using AI tools and strong judgment in evaluating complex financial reasoning.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Review finance-related tasks and AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reasoning quality, and professional standards.
• Develop instruction specifications, benchmark tasks, and high-quality reference solutions.
• Design challenging finance evaluations that reflect real-world professional workflows.
• Identify weaknesses in AI-generated financial analyses and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with researchers and domain experts to establish consistent evaluation standards.
• Help improve the financial reasoning capabilities of advanced AI systems.

Project Details

• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Initial 6-month engagement
• Commitment: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Hybrid, based in the Bay Area, California

Compensation

• Competitive compensation of $100–$150/hour.
• W-2 employment through Cincinnatus LLC.
