The Role

As part of our on-site Finance & Business Support team, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's financial operations and reporting.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance & Business Support, you will work closely with departments across the hotel, IHG shared services and external stakeholders to support strong financial performance and effective commercial decision-making.

Your Day to Day

• Inspire IncredibleAs our Accountant, you will:

Complete daily revenue reconciliation, financial reporting and audit balancing, ensuring accuracy and timely identification of variances. Manage Accounts Payable processes, supplier reconciliations and payment run, working closely with hotel departments and IHG shared services. Support month-end and year-end financial close, including journals, general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist with payroll processing and analyse labour costs and productivity to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Support internal controls, compliance and internal and external audit requirements in line with IHG standards. Partner with department leaders to provide financial information and insights that support commercial performance and effective decision-making.

Work closely with the overseas BSC team and IHG Corporate Accounting to resolve financial queries and discrepancies. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, efficiency and accuracy across the hotel.

What You Will Bring

You will be a highly organised and detail-focused finance professional with strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to problem solving.

You will also have:

Minimum two years' experience in Finance or Accounting. Qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems. Experience with Opera, PeopleSoft or other hotel accounting systems will be highly regarded. Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting and accounting processes. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment. Full unrestricted Australian working rights.
