Talent Acquisition Specialist - Banking

Overview

A growing financial institution is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support full-cycle recruiting efforts across multiple business lines within the organization. This individual will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent within the banking and financial services industry.

The ideal candidate will have prior recruiting experience and a strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory environments, and the types of talent required in financial institutions.

This is a mid-level HR role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with hiring managers to build strong teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for banking and corporate positions including retail banking, operations, compliance, credit, and support functions
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and hiring timelines
• Source and identify qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and recruiting databases
• Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate the interview process with hiring managers and leadership teams
• Maintain and manage candidate pipelines while ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
• Draft and post job descriptions across multiple recruiting platforms
• Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding documentation for new hires
• Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Ensure hiring practices comply with banking regulations and internal HR policies
• Support broader HR initiatives including workforce planning, employer branding, and talent retention efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally within banking or financial services
• Experience recruiting for roles such as client associates, credit analysts, operations staff, compliance professionals, and banking support functions
• Strong understanding of the banking industry and regulatory hiring requirements preferred
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
