Karbon Digital is an applied AI company building Docufy AI, an agentic document intelligence platform that transforms unstructured documents into actionable business intelligence.

Docufy AI helps enterprises automate document-heavy workflows across industries including Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, Legal, and Retail through AI-powered summarization, extraction, fraud detection, risk assessment, grounded Q&A, and document intelligence.

We are scaling our engineering, AI research, product, and enterprise GTM teams and are looking for a Recruiting Lead to build a world-class talent pipeline.

Role Overview

The Recruiting Lead will own the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for Karbon Digital. This role will partner directly with founders and leadership to identify, attract, evaluate, and close exceptional candidates across engineering, AI, product, sales, and business functions.

This is a hands-on recruiting leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys building systems from scratch, creating talent pipelines, and helping a high-growth AI startup scale.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Strategy & Planning

• Build and execute a scalable recruiting strategy aligned with company growth plans.
• Partner with founders and department leaders to define hiring priorities, role requirements, and candidate profiles.
• Create quarterly hiring plans across:
• AI Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Data Engineering
• Product Management
• Enterprise Sales
• Marketing & Growth
• Operations

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

• Build proactive talent pipelines using:
• LinkedIn Recruiter / Sales Navigator
• GitHub
• AI communities
• University networks
• Industry events
• Professional networks
• Develop targeted sourcing campaigns for highly competitive technical roles.
• Build relationships with passive candidates and industry professionals.

Recruitment Operations

• Own the full recruitment lifecycle:
• Job description creation
• Candidate sourcing
• Screening calls
• Interview coordination
• Candidate evaluation
• Offer management
• Onboarding support
• Implement structured recruiting processes including:
• Interview scorecards
• Candidate tracking dashboards
• Recruiting metrics
• Hiring velocity reporting

Employer Branding

• Strengthen Karbon Digital’s employer brand within the AI ecosystem.
• Promote company mission, technology vision, and startup culture.
• Support recruitment campaigns through:
• LinkedIn content
• University outreach
• AI communities
• Startup networks

Executive & Strategic Hiring

• Support founder-led hiring for critical positions.
• Assist with identifying senior engineering leaders, AI specialists, and enterprise executives.
• Build relationships with technical leaders and industry experts.

Skills & Competencies

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience

• 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within:
• AI / SaaS startups
• Technology companies
• Engineering organizations
• High-growth environments
• Proven experience recruiting technical talent.
• Experience managing multiple open roles simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and AI roles.

• Experience working in startups from seed to growth stage.
