Business and Operations Analyst (E-Commerce)

Milk Snob is seeking an analytical, systems-minded Business & Operations Analyst to serve as our financial backbone and operational command center. In a lean, fast-moving business, this role bridges daily high-accuracy operations with strategic financial planning.

You will manage data pipelines across 11+ sales channels to eliminate stock-outs, vendor chargebacks, and margin leaks. Beyond operational logistics, you will build systems for long-term profitability, track COGS, optimize spend, and advise leadership on strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Profitability

• COGS & Unit Economics: Update COGS models across all channels and analyze margins to pinpoint profit drivers and cost leaks.
• Amazon Analysis: Monitor Amazon revenue, fee structures, ad spend performance, and net margins.
• Growth Tracking: Lead monthly financial reviews analyzing MoM and YoY spend, revenue, and gross profit shifts.
• Licensing & Reporting: Compile quarterly sales data into precise royalty reports for key strategic partners (e.g., Disney corporate licensing) to ensure compliance and support forecasting.
• Strategic Modeling: Partner with leadership on growth planning, building revenue projections, capacity models, and deal structures for new sales channels.

Logistics, Compliance & Systems

• Order Operations: Manage accurate data entry and processing across 11+ sales channels, including dropship order entry into warehouse platforms.
• Systems Optimization: Identify operational bottlenecks and build scalable automated workflows to boost efficiency.
• Warehouse & 3PL Management: Act as primary contact for 3PL partners to manage order flow, resolve carrier exceptions, and enforce retailer compliance (e.g., Target) to eliminate chargebacks.
• Data & Inventory Forecasting: Standardize multi-channel sales data to power inventory models, track production lead times, and prevent stock-outs.

Qualifications & Key Attributes

• Experience: 1–3 years in business analysis, inventory/corporate finance, or e-commerce operations.
• Technical Savvy: Expert Excel/Google Sheets skills (complex formulas, financial modeling). Hands-on experience with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, ERPs, 3PL platforms, and EDI.
• High-Growth Mindset: Adaptable team player comfortable handling granular data tasks alongside high-level financial strategy.
• Meticulous Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail with high standards for data integrity.
• Communication: Strong cross-functional communication skills to coordinate effectively with external vendors, internal teams, and corporate partners.
