Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

FP&A Manager - Manchester

An established and growing group is looking for a high-calibre FP&A Manager to join its finance team and play a key role in supporting continued growth.

This is a hands-on FP&A role for someone who wants to get close to the numbers, build robust financial models and provide meaningful commercial insight to senior management. It is not simply a reporting role.

The role

You will take ownership of core FP&A activity across the group, with particular emphasis on:

• P&L analysis – understanding performance, trends, variances and profitability
• Balance sheet – analysing financial position, working capital and key balance sheet drivers
• Budgets & forecasting – leading the budgeting process and developing rolling forecasts
• Cashflow – producing detailed cashflow forecasts and supporting effective cash management
• Financial modelling – building sophisticated models to support growth, investment and strategic decision-making
• Scenario and sensitivity analysis
• Management reporting and performance analysis
• Identifying financial and commercial opportunities
• Providing clear, insightful analysis to senior management

About you

Ideally, you will be

• ACA qualified (or equivalent)
• A technically strong accountant with excellent understanding of the P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
• Highly capable in Excel and financial modelling
• Commercially minded and confident challenging assumptions
• Analytical, curious and exceptionally comfortable working with data
• Hands-on and detail-oriented – someone who builds and interrogates the numbers rather than simply reviewing reports
• Comfortable working in a growing and evolving organisation
• Able to communicate complex financial information clearly to operational and senior management

Salary: up to £80,000 + benefits
