The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for our most critical roles as we scale. You'll partner with our engineering team, specializing in identifying, engaging, and closing senior and staff-level software developers in a competitive market for AI-forward talent.

We're looking for someone who lives for the entire hunt, from tracking down that one senior or staff engineer, landing them with a sharp, well-crafted cold outreach message, building genuine rapport, and closing them against every competing offer on the table. This is an initial 3-month contract.

What You’ll Do

• Build and run proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage hard-to-find senior and staff developer talent, going well beyond inbound applicants.
• Own full-cycle recruiting for senior and staff engineering roles, from intake through offer negotiation and close, partnering closely with engineering leadership at every stage.

• Represent Senpilot's mission and culture compellingly to senior technical candidates in competitive talent markets
• Track pipeline health and hiring metrics, using data to continuously refine sourcing and process.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong track record hiring senior and staff-level software engineers.
• Experience recruiting inside a fast-growing company, comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Genuine fluency and enthusiasm for how AI is changing both software engineering and the recruiting function, and comfort using AI tools in your own workflow.
• Proven ability to build and manage passive candidate pipelines through creative, proactive sourcing.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to partner with engineering leaders as a strategic advisor rather than an order-taker.
• Sharp judgment for technical talent assessment, even without a deep engineering background yourself.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly around structuring and closing competitive offers for senior candidates.
• A bias toward action and ownership, consistent with working on a small, high-performance team.

Work Location

We Appreciate the flexibility of hybrid work, and we also value the energy that comes from being in the same room. Our team gathers at our office in downtown Toronto three times a month. If you're able to join us in person on those days, we'd love to hear from you.

What Is In For You

The estimated annual base salary range for this role in Canada is $100,000 CAD - $130,000 CAD. Actual salaries may vary within the range, or above or below it, based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and business needs.
