Management Accountant

Month end reporting and process improvement role in a large, well established consumer facing business. Permanent, Sydney based, hybrid.

• Our client is looking for a qualified accountant to join their finance team and take ownership of the month end process.

About Our ClientOur client is a large, well established consumer facing business with a broad customer base and a complex operating environment. The finance function is central to the business, working closely with teams across a range of functions to keep reporting accurate and processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end to end month end process, including accruals, reporting, profit and loss analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
• Support the interim and annual controls and financial audit process
• Act as a key point of contact for business stakeholders on day to day finance matters and requests
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work through better use of systems
• Support the annual budgeting process and assist with ad hoc projects as needed
• Provide financial modelling, analysis and commentary on new projects and initiatives

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualified accountant
• Minimum two years experience post qualification
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• High attention to detail
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Comfortable embracing change within a business
• Experience with a large ERP system is a plus but not essential
