Global Recruitment Officer Supporting University of Leicester

Main Duties & Scope of the role

The role involves representing Leicester across StudyIn’s North American network, supporting student recruitment and conversion, engaging with partner offices and agents, delivering training, attending recruitment events, and tracking recruitment performance.

Key requirements

• Based in Toronto
• Eligible to work in Canada – visa sponsorship is not available
• Willingness to travel extensively across Canada and the USA
• Leicester graduates are preferred; no prior experience required for Leicester graduates

1. University of Leicester Representation & Brand Positioning

• Champion Leicester across StudyIn’s offices and partner network in Canada & the US.
• Ensure consistent institutional messaging and strong brand recall.
• Deliver training sessions to counsellors and branch teams.
• Represent Leicester at fairs, exhibitions, marketing events, webinars, and recruitment campaigns.

2. Student Recruitment & Conversion

• Drive student enrolments across assigned markets.
• Advise prospective students on programme selection, applications, and admissions processes.
• Work closely with counsellors to generate high-quality applications.
• Support application processing and ensure compliance with admissions and visa requirements.
• Maintain agreed turnaround times in coordination with the university.
• Develop and execute offer-to-enrolment conversion strategies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to student and partner enquiries.

3. Network Engagement

• Develop and execute a network engagement plan.
• Collaborate with Points of Contact across partner offices.
• Identify and nurture high-performing branches and B2B agents.
• Coordinate recruitment initiatives across faculties and programmes.
• Work closely with Leicester’s Future Students / International Recruitment team.
• Travel extensively across North America for training, recruitment activities, and events (including peak seasons, weekends, and evenings as required).

4. Strategic Planning & Reporting

• Agree on recruitment targets and baseline figures with the university and StudyIn leadership
• Track performance metrics including applications, offers, conversions, and enrolments.
• Submit monthly and quarterly performance reports.
• Provide market intelligence and competitor insights.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate closely with Leicester’s International Recruitment team.
• Support joint monitoring of performance plans.
• Ensure smooth communication between Leicester admissions and Partner branches.
• Organize & Facilitate webinars, university visits, and recruitment campaigns
