Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Universal City, CA

Duration: 7 months contract

Qualifications

3+ years of experience

• Experience analyzing data and business metrics preferably in the Entertainment industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent required. MBA preferred
• Strong Client Excel skills and high level of proficiency in PowerPoint
• High attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently under general supervision

Responsibilities

• Support Finance Director with performing period close duties and accounting analysis (e.g., weekly billing, monthly and quarterly journal entries, weekly invoicing, etc.)
• Develop financial models that support systems and processes to fully utilize work force across UPCO to ensure maximum efficiency of all in-house creative services. Also, maintain financial controls across UPCO.
• Identify opportunities for simplification and implement solutions for current UPCO finance/operational processes improvements.
• On a monthly and quarterly basis, provide performance reports, inter-departmental cost savings, department performance and over-all financial position to UPCO management and communicate performance to finance and operational leaders in business units serviced by UPCO as well as Film Headquarters; Corporate Finance and Human Resources.
• Responsible for ensuring employees abide by all administrative procedures to ensure compliance with budgetary targets and over-all company financial goals and objectives.
• Lead/assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Ad Hoc reporting and analysis.
