Role Description

The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai includes preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate reporting in line with applicable accounting standards.

The Senior Accountant will monitor cash flow, review inventory-related transactions, and collaborate with operations and sales teams to maintain accurate financial data for wholesale and distribution activities. The role also involves strengthening internal controls, managing audits, identifying cost and efficiency improvements, and providing financial insights to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a trading or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and margin analysis.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel skills.
• Understanding of relevant accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and audit-ready documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a senior accounting or similar role, preferably within wholesale, trading, or technology distribution.
