Technical Project Manager - Remote

6-12+ Month Contract

Location - Remote (EST or CST only) w/travel once a month

Our client is looking to add a Project Manager operates within the Migration Oversight function, supporting the Portfolio Manager in maintaining delivery visibility, stakeholder alignment, and operational coordination across large-scale infrastructure and data center migration programs.

This role serves as the connective layer between pod-level execution teams and portfolio-level oversight, ensuring the Portfolio Manager has the accurate, timely information needed to drive client and stakeholder decisions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Workstream Tracking & Delivery Visibility

• Maintains project-level tracking of status, milestones, risks, and scope signals across assigned migration workstreams
• Monitors schedule, resource, and scope signals at the workstream level and surfaces trade-off decisions to the Portfolio Manager with sufficient lead time for resolution
• Identifies and escalates risks, issues, and delivery blockers to the Portfolio Manager, supporting timely mitigation before they impact portfolio commitments
• Maintains RAID logs and project documentation to ensure all tracking artifacts remain accurate and decision-grade

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Support

• Prepares and manages reporting materials, status updates, and risk logs to support Portfolio Manager-led communications with clients and stakeholders
• Develops and maintains polished, executive-ready documentation and presentation materials on behalf of the Portfolio Manager
• Manages meeting cadences, agendas, and follow-up action tracking for portfolio governance and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Ensures reporting deliverables are produced on time and consistent with portfolio-level standards and prescribed timelines

Execution Coordination & Portfolio Bridging

• Serves as the day-to-day coordination point between pod execution teams and the Portfolio Manager, translating operational activity into portfolio-level visibility
• Facilitates cross-workstream communication to surface dependencies, handoff risks, and alignment gaps that require Portfolio Manager awareness
• Coordinates scheduling, action item follow-through, and documentation artifacts across workstream and pod teams in support of portfolio oversight
• Maintains organized conversation and documentation structure across workstreams to enable the Portfolio Manager to make informed, timely decisions

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of IT project management or delivery coordination experience
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or data center migration programs
• Strong organizational and communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams

Knowledge & Experience

• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Familiarity with RAID management and delivery governance frameworks
• Ability to synthesize workstream-level data into clear, executive-ready reporting
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Preferred

• Project Management Institute PMP certification
• ITIL knowledge or certification
• Experience in IT outsourcing or managed services delivery environments

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($65-$68/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
