We are seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs focused on advanced robotics, autonomous systems, and next-generation technology development. This role serves as the central point of coordination across software, systems engineering, hardware, testing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful program execution, financial performance, and delivery of key milestones.
The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with technical understanding of robotics, autonomy, and software development environments. This individual will proactively remove obstacles, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex robotics and autonomous systems programs from initiation through completion.
- Coordinate activities across software, systems, autonomy, hardware, operations, and testing teams to achieve program objectives and milestones.
- Drive clarity, accountability, and execution by identifying risks, resolving roadblocks, managing escalations, and facilitating decision-making.
- Manage program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, earned value management, labor tracking, and project profitability.
- Monitor schedules, resources, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
- Facilitate iteration planning, sprint reviews, status meetings, and technical discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support project teams with effort estimation, resource planning, and prioritization activities.
- Track project performance and provide regular reporting on program status, financial health, risks, and milestones.
- Maintain and update project plans, schedules, and documentation using project management tools and methodologies.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel schedules for project personnel, including planning, approvals, documentation, and logistics.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex technical projects, budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, aerospace, defense, mining technology, industrial automation, or related technology environments.
- Experience managing software development lifecycles, integration activities, and product delivery processes.
- Demonstrated success leading medium to large-scale technical programs involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
- Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and program governance.
Technical Experience
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics platforms, software development processes, simulation environments, sensors, and hardware integration.
- Experience working with project management tools, software configuration management systems, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project reporting tools.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively within highly technical engineering organizations.

Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
- Experience within robotics, autonomous vehicle, mining technology, aerospace, defense, or advanced industrial environments.
- Prior experience supporting Agile development teams and iterative delivery models.
- Exposure to software development environments utilizing Git-based workflows and Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with C++ development environments and engineering-focused software teams.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.
