Role Description

The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, role based in Sydney, NSW, responsible for leading construction projects from inception to completion. This role includes planning project scope, timelines, and budgets; coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers; and overseeing site activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

The Senior Project Manager will manage project documentation, monitor progress and quality, conduct regular site inspections, and resolve issues or delays proactively. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve overseeing procurement and expediting of materials, optimizing logistics, managing risk, and reporting on project performance to senior leadership and clients.

The position requires strong stakeholder communication and leadership to guide project teams and maintain alignment with GC Built’s standards and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
• Skills in Inspection and quality oversight to maintain compliance with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Proven leadership experience in construction or related sectors, preferably across industrial, commercial projects.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and site teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian building regulations, WHS requirements, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with project management software and construction-related digital tools.
