The Opportunity

The Senior Accounting Manager will join a highly visible finance organization and work closely with firm leadership on accounting, reporting, treasury, and operational finance activities. This role offers broad exposure across management company accounting, investment entity accounting, cash management, reporting, and finance operations.

The team is open to candidates coming directly from public accounting, fund administration, family office environments, or private investment firms.

The position is ideal for someone looking to transition into a private investment environment while gaining meaningful ownership and exposure beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Maintain general ledger activity and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements
• Support annual audits and coordination with external service providers
• Investment & Partnership Accounting
• Support accounting and reporting activities for investment entities and related structures
• Assist with capital activity, investment transactions, and partner allocations
• Coordinate with administrators, auditors, and tax providers as necessary
• Maintain supporting schedules related to investments and partnership activity
• Treasury & Cash Management
• Monitor cash balances and liquidity needs across multiple entities
• Assist with wire activity, cash forecasting, and banking relationships
• Support treasury reporting and operational finance initiatives
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
• Business Operations & Process Improvement
• Partner with leadership on process improvements and operational initiatives
• Assist with implementation of scalable accounting processes and controls
• Support special projects, ad hoc analysis, and reporting requests
• Participate in technology and reporting enhancement initiatives

Ideal Candidate

• Profile
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred but not required3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience highly attractive
• Experience within family offices, fund administration, private investment firms, or financial services environments is a plus
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and general accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to operate effectively within a lean, collaborative environment
