Accounting Consultant (Boston, MA)

We’re seeking experienced Accounting Consultants to join our client teams onsite in the Boston, MA area. These roles are ideal for professionals ranging from Senior Accountant to Controller level, supporting a variety of accounting functions including financial reporting, close processes, and operational improvements while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and support financial reporting
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support audits and prepare required documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements across accounting functions
• Contribute across areas such as AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition, and more, depending on engagement needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)3+ years of accounting experience (Senior Accountants) up to 10+ years (Controller-level candidates)
• Experience in public accounting, consulting, or industry environments preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work onsite in the Boston metro area
• Engagement Details:
• Contract opportunities typically range from 3–6 months (with potential extension) and offer competitive hourly or consulting rates, commensurate with experience.
