The Position

We are looking for an Accountant, Senior, who will be providing support for Field Support Activity (FSA) which is also a Budget Submitting Office (BSO) in the Department of Navy..Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education.

Description

The successful candidate will work with BSO-11 clients to:

Examine/develop processes to support the accounting department to include new processes of Navy ERP.Participate in working groups related to G-Invoicing, Budget Execution Valuation (BEV), FERMC (UMT, AP AR, IGTs, and Tie-Points).

Update and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.

Perform data analysis related to funding, month end close, year-end close. Perform compilation and review of field level journal vouchers.

Review and reconcile monthly treasury reports when compared to the general ledger.

Understand the behavior and functionality of various general ledger accounts.

Review and analyze trial balances for pre-close and post-close analysis.

Review and research unmatched transactions.

Support other accounting duties as needed.

Education & ExperienceActive DoW Secret Clearance, required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent degree. ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS: Associate's degree with eight (8) years of experience. 8+ years of accounting, audit, and/or Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) experienceIntermediate to Advanced Excel Skills to include performing financial analysis.
