Senior Cost Accountant

Terrific opportunity to join a growing global manufacturer that is investing in its people, technology, and operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Cost Accountant who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and driving financial insights in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You'll work closely with plant and corporate leadership while gaining exposure to international operations and future career growth. This position also has a path to manager within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead standard costing activities, including cost rollups, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, material, labor, and overhead variances, providing actionable recommendations to operations leadership.
• Partner with plant managers and cross-functional teams to improve inventory controls, costing accuracy, and operational efficiencies.
• Support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, inventory reserves, and financial reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to manufacturing operations.
• Review and maintain standard costs, bills of material, and inventory transactions.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle count programs while ensuring accurate inventory reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
• Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives as the company continues to expand globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience required.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
• CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.
