The role will meaningfully participate in the monthly financial statement closing process , the bi-weekly forecast process and the annual budget.

The role will also drive continuous process and productivity improvements by leveraging existing systems’ capabilities and implementing automation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently performs general accounting activities for the monthly financial statement close, bi-weekly forecast, and annual budget processes.
• Activities require insight and depth of understanding of business drivers.
• Conducts pertinent investigation of assigned accounts; understands and communicates causes of variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted and last year results.
• Uses judgment to determine its significance/relevance.
• Effectively collaborates with cross-functional business partners to source relevant data needed, understand business drivers that cause variances to expectations, size future financial risks and opportunities and communicate the results of financial analyses.
• Drive process and productivity improvements within Accounting, to liberate time for reinvestment in analytics and business support.
• Leverage existing systems and new solutions such as Alteryx and UI Path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA a plus3 - 5 years’ experience People
• Soft and Hyperion a plus
• Advanced Excel a plus
• Virtual
