The Role

Reporting to the Head of Group Finance and Operations, you will take ownership of financial reporting across a portfolio of client events, ensuring funds are managed accurately, reporting is timely, and Project Managers are well-supported. The role spans both client-facing financial work and internal business administration across NZ and Australian operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely financial reports for client events in line with the monthly reporting schedule
• Support Project Managers with budget development and forecasting
• Process financial transactions including GST (NZ) and BAS (Australia) returns
• Prepare and issue sales invoices for NZ and Australian entities
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and manage short-term cash flow across all accounts
• Process supplier invoices and credit card reconciliations
• Liaise with auditors and support the year-end accounts review process
• Contribute to process improvement and system efficiency across the finance function
• Key Skills & Experience

Required

• Solid double-entry bookkeeping skills with sound knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with Xero
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Clear, professional communication skills, written and verbal
• A collaborative team player who takes ownership and backs others to meet shared deadlines
