Business Development Manager (BDM)

Lotus Group is proud to partner with our Toronto-based client, a leader in digital construction, to recruit a Business Development professional to support their continued growth in the Toronto market.

Our client is transforming the construction industry through Digital Component Construction combining advanced technology, precision manufacturing, and prefabrication to deliver interior environments faster, more sustainably, and with greater precision than traditional construction methods.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in expanding market presence by developing strong relationships across the architecture, design, and construction community.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, and general contractors across the Toronto market
• Position the organization as a trusted partner for digitally enabled interior construction solutions
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities across commercial, institutional, and workplace sectors
• Proactively build relationships with corporate clients, developers, and organizations planning new workplace or institutional environments
• Engage decision-makers responsible for workplace development, renovations, and interior construction projects
• Introduce project teams to Digital Component Construction and collaborate early in the design phase to explore innovative alternatives to traditional construction methods
• Develop project budgets, proposals, and presentations while leading technical and project discussions with clients and partners
• Work closely with internal design, project management, manufacturing, and installation teams to support projects from concept through execution
• Represent the organization within the Toronto architecture and construction community through industry events, networking opportunities, and association involvement

Role Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following industries: commercial construction, architectural products, interior construction systems, modular or prefabricated construction, construction project development, or commercial furniture environments
• Strong understanding of the commercial construction and design process
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated success in business development and relationship-driven sales environments
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative and ability to build a market presence
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Compensation

A comprehensive compensation package will accompany the successful candidate. Starting salary range is 90-110K based on experience and qualifications.
