Senior Accountant | Alternative Finance & Partnership Accounting

We're hiring a Senior Accountant who wants real ownership, not a seat in a back office.

Who we are

Financialese is a fractional CFO and outsourced accounting firm serving alternative lenders, emerging fund managers, and real estate investors. Our clients run MCA portfolios, private credit funds, multi-entity partnership structures, and warehouse credit facilities. The work is closer to what you'd see at a fund administrator or a lender's finance team than at a typical bookkeeping shop, and it moves fast.

We're a small senior team growing deliberately. This role exists because our client base is expanding and we promote from delivery, not around it.

What you'll own

• Monthly closes and financial reporting for a portfolio of clients, end to end
• Partnership accounting: capital accounts, allocations, distributions, multi-entity consolidations
• Lender and investor reporting, including borrowing base support and facility compliance
• Reviewing staff work and raising the bar on quality and process
• Direct client communication. You will be in the room, not behind a portal

What we're looking for

• 4 to 7 years in accounting with meaningful partnership, fund, or alternative lending exposure (fund admin, private credit, MCA, or real estate structures all translate well)
• Someone who takes full ownership of their book
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication with founders and principals
• CPA or progress toward it is a plus, not a requirement
