Accountant

Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the community through mission-driven programs and services. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support our finance team and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting reporting processes, and providing data-driven insights. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, advanced Excel skills, and accounting knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improved efficiency
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Assist with audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
• Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, dashboards, and financial models
