Driving accuracy. Supporting strong financial operations. — Join Velocity Electronics as our next ACCOUNTANT in Austin, TX.We are looking for an ACCOUNTANT in AUSTIN, TX to perform a variety of accounting functions to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes.

The functions include month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, compiling data for tax filings and other responsibilities. Activities will be carried out in multiple countries.

What can you expect to do?

Month-End Close: Perform month-end close duties while ensuring adherence to internal deadlines, company policies, and applicable accounting standards.

Tax Filings: Complete activities associated with tax filings as assigned.

Financial Operations Support: Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expense report processes.

Team Training: Assist in training team members as needed.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly accrual-based financial statements and support schedules.

Account Reconciliations: Prepare account reconciliations, including identification and resolution of discrepancies.

Audit Support: Assist in responding to year-end external audit inquiries.

Accounting Compliance: Seek management guidance to ensure all transactions are recorded appropriately in accordance with accounting standards and accurately reflect the activity and purpose of each account.

Credit Management Support: Provide assistance with tasks related to establishing credit limits for new and existing business partners.

What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; an advanced degree and/or active CPA license is preferred.3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

Experience in operational accounting and accounting services (AR, AP, etc.).

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Strong computer skills; experience with complex ERP systems is preferred.
