Human Resource Senior/Associate (Grant Management) (Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Associate / Senior Associate to manage Expenditure of Manpower (EOM) related to external research grants and support payroll operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with numbers, analysing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

Researcher Grants Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for all EOM related grant activities, liaising with both external stakeholders (grantors and appointed auditors) and internal stakeholders (Finance, Office of Research, and Principal Investigators).

• Ensure accurate EOM charging with proper approvals
• Reconcile EOM postings and resolve incorrect or outstanding charges.
• Submit EOM claims timely and accurately.
• Coordinate EOM audits and respond to audit queries.
• Respond to and resolve EOM-related queries from stakeholders, including but not limited to EOM projection, manpower deployment recommendations.
• Maintain and update payroll SOPs related to research grants.

Other Responsibilities: Payroll Operations Support

The incumbent will report to the Payroll Manager and support payroll operations as and when required, including payroll processing, reconciliation, and other related activities. Training will be provided.

Who We Are Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related disciplines, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and experience with manual journal entries or payroll experience is an advantage.
• The successful candidate will be appointed at an appropriate appointment grade based on qualifications & experiences.
