About the role

This is a full-time, permanent HR Operations Manager position sitting within the HR team of a regulated financial services business in Dublin. This is a newly created position, brought in as the HR team has grown and the structure has evolved - the business needed a dedicated operational layer between the Head of HR and the wider team.

The role exists to lead the day-to-day running of HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, bringing structure, consistency and control to how the team delivers. It reports directly to the Head of HR and carries 3 direct reports.

• The business has grown considerably in recent years and the HR function has scaled with it. The team is established, busy and manages both local and group-level HR activity.
• Total headcount sits at approximately 100.

The role

The HR Operations Manager owns the operational delivery of HR processes across the employee lifecycle. The role leads a small team and is responsible for governance, controls, data integrity, payroll oversight and audit readiness. It works closely with the HR Business Partner and Head of HR, with complex or high-risk decisions escalated to that level.

This is an operational role with clear scope: the focus is on how HR processes are executed, not strategic people outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Own and deliver HR operational processes across the full employee lifecycle to a consistent, accurate and timely standard
• Ensure all HR processes are controlled, documented and audit-ready in line with internal governance and regulatory requirements
• Manage and coordinate the HR Operations team, allocating work and overseeing delivery across both administrative and process-driven activity
• Administer employee relations processes in line with company policy and employment law, escalating complex or high-risk cases to the HR Business Partner or Head of HROwn HR data integrity across systems and reporting, maintaining accuracy and resolving issues promptly
• Oversee payroll input controls, including review and validation of payroll inputs and outputs and ensuring appropriate sign-off is in place
• Support the delivery of core HR cycles including recruitment administration, performance and reward cycle coordination, and employee engagement activity
• Identify and escalate operational risks and issues with clear documentation and follow-through
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, templates and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency

What we're looking for

• Essential
• Proven experience in HR operations or a broad generalist HR role
• Strong understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR governance requirements
• Experience managing or coordinating a team, with the ability to allocate work, set priorities and support others
• High attention to detail and a structured, process-driven way of working
• Experience with HR systems and HR data management
• Comfortable identifying when to escalate and clear on the boundaries of the role
• Third-level qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline
• Someone who looks at existing processes with a critical eye and takes initiative to improve them: the business has grown quickly and there is real scope to make things more efficient
• This role is an operational position.

• Experience working in a regulated environment
• Prior experience in financial services or a similarly regulated, process-oriented environment is preferred: candidates from professional services backgrounds will also be considered
• Exposure to payroll oversight or payroll input processes
• CIPD qualification or working towards one
