Role Description The Owner role at IRN is a full-time, on-site position based in London, responsible for leading the overall strategy, growth, and operational performance of the organization. Day-to-day activities include setting business objectives, overseeing event and training program portfolios, and maintaining high standards of content and client experience.

The Owner will cultivate and manage relationships with senior executives, industry partners, and stakeholders across multiple sectors, while identifying new market opportunities and ensuring financial sustainability.

Responsibilities also include guiding marketing and sales efforts, supervising key staff, establishing policies and processes, and ensuring that IRN’s offerings remain competitive and aligned with industry trends. The role requires active involvement in decision-making, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across all business functions.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in strategic planning, business development, and team oversight.
• Background in events, conferences, or business intelligence, including familiarity with high-level executive meetings and training programs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and industry partners.
• Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, and performance analysis to support sustainable growth.
• Knowledge of sectors such as Oil & Gas, Security, Defence, Commodities, Infrastructure, or related industries is highly beneficial.
• Proven track record in marketing and sales strategy, including positioning services, developing value propositions, and driving client acquisition.
• Ability to work on-site in London, make timely decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing market conditions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
