Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with several years of experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to continue building their career within a stable organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting
• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and other balance sheet reconciliations
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with special projects as needed

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with an ERP/accounting system
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with an ERP/accounting system.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Public accounting experience, fixed asset accounting, or ERP experience is a plus.
