Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain ManagerMy client, a leading Print and Packaging organisation is seeking to hire a Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Cork. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end planning activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products from supplier to customer.

The role oversees demand planning, production scheduling, inventory, customer service, and order management while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high service levels, optimise inventory, and support business growth. This is an office-based role with occasional customer visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
• Develop and deliver manufacturing plans that balance service, cost, and inventory.
• Manage customer order processing and ensure excellent customer service.
• Monitor and improve OTIF, lead times, and supply chain performance.
• Lead the S&OP process, aligning demand, supply, and business priorities.
• Work with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to resolve supply issues and optimise performance.
• Manage new business implementation and intercompany product flows.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and performance reporting.
• Lead, develop, and support the Planning and Customer Service teams.
• Skills & Experience
• Experience in supply chain, production planning, or demand planning.
• Experience in Production Scheduling, Inventory Management
• S&OP, ERP/MRP Systems, Customer Service & Order Management
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proven experience with planning systems, ERP/MRP, and S&OP.Customer-focused with strong commercial awareness.
• Analytical with excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable supporting operational activities when required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset with Lean or Six Sigma experience desirable.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.5-7 years' experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is desirable.
