Director of Operations

A well-established, growing home health organization is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of its Medicare-certified home health agency. This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic, business-minded clinical leader who is passionate about operational excellence, quality outcomes, and developing high-performing teams.

The role is expected to expand into a regional leadership position as the organization continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical operations within the home health agency.
• Directly manage Clinical Team Managers, Program Managers, Clinical Coordinators, Schedulers, Team Support Specialists, and the Supplies Coordinator.
• Develop, mentor, and support clinical leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Create and manage staffing plans to maintain appropriate clinical coverage and support organizational growth.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, performance improvement, and operational planning.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
• Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and productivity while implementing process improvements.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for clinical management staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy preferred (Bachelor's degree with significant leadership experience will also be considered).
• Active New Jersey RN, PT, or OT license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience within a Medicare-certified home health agency.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations, home health operations, and clinical best practices.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive operational performance, and improve patient outcomes.
• Business-oriented mindset with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
