Programme Manager

About the Role

Hadfield Green is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to take ownership of a Finance Transformation Programme on a 12-month day rate contract. This is a senior, hands-on delivery role at the centre of finance transformation, process optimisation and organisational change.

What You’ll Be DoingYou will own the next phase of the finance transformation roadmap, translating strategic ambition into a structured, well-governed programme of work. You will lead across multiple workstreams spanning process, systems, data and change, ensuring delivery is sequenced, aligned and focused on measurable business outcomes.

You will establish and run effective governance, including steering committee reporting, RAID management, milestone tracking and benefits realisation oversight. A key part of the role will be driving adoption across the finance function, supporting change impact assessment, communications, training and the build of a network of change champions to embed new ways of working.

What We’re Looking ForYou will bring significant experience delivering complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes within finance or similarly regulated environments. You are comfortable operating at executive level, managing competing priorities and providing clear, practical recommendations to senior stakeholders.

You will have strong finance domain knowledge, a structured approach to programme delivery and the ability to balance governance, change and hands-on execution. Experience post-ERP implementation, particularly in stabilisation, optimisation and automation, will be highly advantageous.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end transformation programmes in a finance environment
• Strong programme governance experience, including planning, RAID, reporting and benefits tracking
• Demonstrated change management capability, including stakeholder engagement and adoption planning
• Ability to manage interdependencies across multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Finance background or equivalent experience in a large industry environment preferred, with professional finance qualifications desirable
