This isn't a "sit in the corner" numbers role. The Mission

• Lead the Squad: Mentor and elevate a high-performing team of three (one Accountant, two Staff Accountants) to keep our operations seamless.
• Master the Flow: Oversee high-volume bank recs and maintain a bird’s-eye view of AP/AR, GL entries, and workpapers to ensure every cent is accounted for.
• Own the Close: Drive a sharp, efficient month-end close process, ensuring accuracy is never sacrificed for speed.
• Optimize the Engine: Identify bottlenecks and spearhead process improvements that make our financial controls even tighter.
• Bridge the Gap: Act as a key financial partner to Property Management and Executive Leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Your Track Record

• You have 6+ years of accounting grit under your belt, specifically within the fast-paced world of NYC residential rentals.
• You’re a GL wizard. Reconciliations and general ledger management are second nature to you.
• You’ve either led a team before or you’re a natural mentor ready to take that next step into a supervisory role.
• You understand the nuances of property management accounting and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
• You’re detail-obsessed, tech-forward, and ready to play a pivotal role in a growing firm.

Compensation

$90,000 – $115,000 plus bonus, 401k, fully paid health benefits, and other perks.
