Staff Accountant II

Lopez & Co., CPAs, a distinguished boutique firm, is actively seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team as a Staff Accountant II. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, primarily based in the city of Chicago, and comes with an attractive compensation package.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant at Lopez & Co., you will play a pivotal role in supporting various facets of the services we provide to our esteemed clients. Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

• Preparing both business and individual tax returns.
• Review tax returns prepared by Staff I Accountants
• Assist in tax planning for business and individual entities.
• Preparing financial statements for business clients in various service sectors.
• Assisting clients with financial reporting, month-end procedures, revenue recognition, invoicing, payroll, and/or accounts payable
• Communicate effectively with team members and client personnel
• Stay informed about industry updates and changes in accounting and tax strategies
• Maintain organized and detailed tax and accounting documentation

Qualifications

• A background of 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
