Sr. Staff Accountant - Boston

The role

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will be the primary support person for both our Florida and India operations. This is a diverse accounting position with daily duties focusing primarily on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Ideal candidate for this role is a degreed accountant with experience in a professional services environment. with the ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.

Duties

This is a diverse role and the duties include

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including data entry and labor hours transfers
• Full cycle A/P for Florida and India
• Assist with India financial statements
• Generate customer financial reports
• Manage billing cycles including invoicing and collections
• Coordinate insurance documentation (COI)
• Participate in collection meetings for Florida operation
• Update client communications in Deltek system
• Manage adjustments and billing for Florida inspection projects
• Provide support to the Controller with additional duties related to Florida and India operations

Qualifications

Requires

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
• Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft office programs
• Minimum of 2 years experience with Deltek (or similar) accounting program
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Prefer

• Prior experience in an Engineering or Architecture firm

Anticipated Salary Range: $80,000 – 85,000
