Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger accounting function, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
• Reconciliation: Perform detailed bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations, including tax filings and audits.
• Support: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing variance analysis and historical trend data.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required;
• CPA certification is a strong plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
